These are delivered digitally (for example via email or a download link). No physical items are shipped.
3. Booking and access
3.1 How to book
You can request pet sitting or home organization through [website / email / phone].
A booking is confirmed only when you receive written confirmation from The Vast Life.
We may decline bookings if we feel we’re not the right fit or cannot safely provide the service.
3.2 Access to your home
You are responsible for providing safe and reliable access (keys, codes, instructions).
Your property should be safe to enter and properly insured.
We cannot be responsible for loss or damage if other people (family, cleaners, contractors, etc.) also have access during the service period.
4. What we need from you
4.1 For pet sitting
You agree to:
Share honest, complete information about your pet’s health, medications, behavior, and any special needs.
Provide enough food, supplies, medications, and equipment for the whole service period.
Ensure your pet is up to date with vaccinations and free from contagious conditions, to the best of your knowledge.
You remain responsible for any damage or injury caused by your pet to people, animals, or property, except where caused by our gross negligence or intentional wrongdoing.
4.2 For home organization
You agree to:
Make final decisions about what to keep, donate, or discard (we guide, but you decide).
Ensure areas we work in are safe (no exposed wires, structural issues, hazardous materials, etc.).
Follow local rules for disposal and recycling.
4.3 For digital downloads
You agree to:
Use a suitable device, software, and internet connection to download and open your files.
Keep backups of your purchased files wherever possible.
5. Prices and payment
5.1 Prices
Current prices for services and digital products are shown on our website or shared with you in writing.
Prices are [inclusive / exclusive] of VAT, as indicated.
5.2 Paying for services
We may ask for a deposit to secure dates for pet sitting or home organization.
The remaining amount is due [before / on / within X days after] the service, as stated on your invoice.
Payments can be made via [bank transfer, iDEAL, card, cash, etc.].
If payment is late, we may charge statutory interest and reasonable collection costs.
5.3 Paying for digital downloads
Digital products are paid in full at the time of purchase.
You receive access or a download link once payment is successful.
6. Cancellations and refunds
6.1 If you cancel services
Please cancel in writing (email is fine).
Suggested structure (update to your real policy):
More than [X days] before the start: no cancellation fee / deposit refunded.
Between [X and Y days] before the start: [●]% of the total fee is due.
Less than [Y days] before the start: 100% of the total fee is due.
If you return home early or shorten the project after it has started, there is normally no refund for unused days or hours unless we agree otherwise.
6.2 If The Vast Life cancels or changes
We may need to cancel or reschedule in case of illness, emergency, unsafe conditions, or non‑payment.
We will give you as much notice as we reasonably can.
We will try to offer alternative dates where possible.
If we must cancel and no alternative works, we refund any prepaid amounts for the unused part of the service.
6.3 Digital downloads
Digital products are available immediately after purchase, so all sales are generally final and non‑refundable.
If you have technical problems accessing a file, please contact us within [X] days with your proof of purchase, and we’ll do our best to fix it (for example with a new link or replacement file).
7. Digital products and copyright
7.1 Who owns what
All digital products and template designs are created by and remain the intellectual property of The Vast Life (unless stated otherwise).
When you buy a digital product, you receive a non‑exclusive, non‑transferable license to use it for your personal use or your own business, as described on the product page.
7.2 What you may not do
Unless we clearly say otherwise in writing, you may not:
Resell, share, or gift our original digital files or templates (even if you made small changes).
Claim our designs as your own copyright work.
Use our templates to create competing template products for sale.
Upload our digital products to platforms (for example Etsy or Canva) as templates for others to purchase or download.
7.3 Canva‑based products
If a digital product includes a Canva template:
You must also follow Canva’s own license and terms.
You are responsible for how you edit and use the template within Canva’s rules.
8. Liability and guarantees
8.1 Our responsibility
We always aim to work with care, respect, and professionalism.
However:
Our total liability for any claim related to a specific booking or digital product is limited to the amount you paid for that booking or product.
We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss (such as lost income, loss of opportunity, etc.), as far as the law allows.
8.2 No guaranteed results
We can’t guarantee specific outcomes, such as:
Changes in pet behavior or health
How long your home stays organized
Business results or income from using our digital products
We support and guide you, but many results depend on your own choices and actions.
8.3 Your responsibility
You agree to hold The Vast Life harmless for claims arising from:
Incomplete or incorrect information you provide
Your pet’s behavior or health conditions
Your use or misuse of our digital products
Other people accessing your home during our service period
9. Health, emergencies and safety
9.1 Pet health and emergencies
If your pet seems unwell, injured, or in distress, we will contact you and your emergency contact as soon as we can.
If we cannot reach you and we believe urgent care is needed, you authorize us to seek veterinary help at our reasonable discretion.
You are responsible for all vet and related costs unless an issue is clearly caused by our gross negligence or intentional wrongdoing.
9.2 Safety
We may stop or refuse a service if we believe there is a serious risk to your pet, your property, or ourselves (for example, an aggressive animal or unsafe environment). We will let you know as quickly as we reasonably can.
10. Privacy and confidentiality
We handle your personal data in line with applicable privacy laws (including the GDPR where applicable).
We use your data only for managing bookings, payments, service delivery, and required administration.
Information about your home, family, and pets is treated as confidential and is only shared if needed for service delivery (for example with a vet in an emergency) or if we are legally required to.
11. Law and disputes
These Terms are governed by Dutch law, unless mandatory local consumer law says otherwise.
If something isn’t right, we ask that you contact us first so we can try to resolve it together in a friendly way.
If we can’t find a solution, disputes may be brought before the competent court in [City], unless mandatory law provides another option.
Thank you for trusting The Vast Life with your home, pets, and personal projects.
If you share your typical cancellation timings (how many days before, and what percentages you want), I can plug in specific numbers so this is ready to paste straight onto your website or welcome packet.
